Surgery Update

Today, Janese had her Laparoscopy at around 10:30a.m. The surgery went well, and the doctor did find some things to fix. Probably the most likely cause of the unusual pain she has been experiencing was an adhesion (doctors words). The adhesion was a thin strip of tissue that had connected her bowel (or large intestine) to either the adbdominal wall or to the uterus, I can't remember which, it was a lot of info really fast. This was a result of endometriosis in the area. He cut and cauterized the adhesion along with all of the growths of endometriosis that he found. The doctor also, for fertility reasons, squirted some dye through each of the fallopian tubes. The dye came out the other side on only one of the tubes, meaning that the other is likely blocked. He was not able to tell the extent of the blockage as he didn't try to force the dye through or exert any pressure. We will discuss and test this in future doctor visits to help increase fertility. The doctor didn't believe this blockage was causing any of the pain we were worried about, and thus, didn't mess with things too much. His main goal (and ours) was to help get rid of the pain she has been going through.
We are happy that the doctor was able to fix some things and give us more info on possible reasons for difficulty in getting pregnant. Janese is doing very well, still using the same prescriptions she was given for her other pain last week. We look forward to her feeling much better than she has for while in the coming weeks. Thanks to everyone for all the prayers, kind words, and support. It means a lot to us.

James

I am glad you are doing well, with everything you had to go through, you are a strong person.I was once told that we should turn our Fears into Faith.Instead of Fearing what we won't have, and what we want, we should have Faith in our H.F..When I thought of this I felt a little better.I hope it makes you too.The Lord will not let you down!!!!
