OuR 24th Of July WeeKend

Last year, James' parents decided to start a family tradition where all of us would have a camp out in their back yard. They have the BEST back yard. It's nice and big, with a basketball court, a fire pit, a tire swing for the kids to play on, and fun ducks and chickens that the kids love to chase around. I really miss living there! Last year we were unable to stay the night, but this year we did, and it was so much fun! We bought us a brand new tent too! The kids did a great job at breaking it in!! All the grand kids loved playing in it because it was so big.

On Friday night, the 23rd, we had a dutch oven dinner. It was so good. Dutch oven dinners are the best. Then after dinner we played miniature golf in the their yard. After that, we went to one of their neighbors farms and all the grand kids got to ride on a miniature pony and a baby buffalo!! They absolutely loved that! Then, when it was dark, Lee, my father-in-law, had a movie projector that he put on one of the tents for the kids to watch outside! How fun is that! They loved it! Us adults ended up watching a movie inside. Then we all went to bed.

On Saturday in Bear River City they have a 24th of July celebration at the park. This year all the grand kids got to be in the parade. It was so cute watching all the kids. They were so excited about it! After the parade we hung out at the park, ate really yummy hamburgers, and saw a lot of old friends. So fun! Then we went back to the house and the kids played in the water and James started a water fight. That was funny! We had a really great time visiting with the family. We always have fun when we're together. Can't wait until next year!!
