It's been awhile since I've posted anything! We've had a crazy month. A couple of weeks ago, James and I both felt like we should look into adopting again. We felt pretty good about our decision, so this past Friday, James and I decided to go to LDSFS and start the adoption process. On our way there James and I both felt strongly that it wasn't the right time to do this. We went anyway and James ran in and talked to them while I stayed in the car with the kids and they gave James a packet to fill out when we feel more ready to start the adoption process.
Well, Friday I was supposed to start my period, (sorry if it's too much info) and when I woke up that morning, I had really bad cramps, so I prepared myself and took some medicine and we went on with the day. Well, I didn't start. Saturday came and went and Sunday came and still nothing. It was driving me crazy and my periods haven't always been the most regular give or take a few days, so Monday when James came home from work, I was talking to him about how I have been feeling so I had him run to the store for me to buy a pregnancy test (what a good husband) just so I could know for sure what was going on. I've done this many times before in the past and of course it's always been negative, so I was pretty sure it was going to say negative. I took the test and waited not even a few minutes and it said POSITIVE! Oh my heck! I was in shock! I went downstairs and told James that it was positive. I wish I had a camera. He had the most shocked look on his face. It was pretty funny.
Here's the faith of a five year old....Before we even told the kids that I was pregnant, I was sitting on the couch and Chase came and sat by me and said,"Mommy, last night I said a prayer that you would have a baby!" Can you believe that?!! Kids are so in tune with the spirit, it amazes me. So we told the kids that I have a baby in my belly and they were so excited. They were all jumping up and down and screaming. Tyler kept feeling my stomach. It was so cute. We feel extremely blessed right now. It's been a long 15 months of trying to get pregnant. I didn't think I would, but I know that our Heavenly Father has truly heard and answered our prayers. I've been a little sick, mostly very tired, but bring it on. I am so excited.
Oh, since we live so far away from my parents, my cute sister took balloons to them and I told them over the phone that I'm pregnant! Everyone is so excited. My sister is going to be posting on her blog pictures of them, so if anyone wants to look at them for fun, click on Chad and Chelsie.
